Beautiful scenery, friendly owners, delicious breakfast

We recently stayed at a B&B in the Northern region of New Zealand and it was a delightful experience. The location was perfect, with amazing views of the ocean and surrounded by impressive gardens. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, with a variety of fresh and local options. it was a wonderful stay and we hope to return again someday.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this B&B, there were a couple of downsides worth mentioning. The room we stayed in was on the smaller side and lacking in amenities, such as a TV or mini-fridge.

The location of the lodge is just perfect, with stunning views over the bay and the sea. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping at the shore, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The self-contained apartment is lovely and well-equipped, providing a comfortable and private space. The hosts, Lorraine and Bill, go above and beyond to provide a personal and friendly experience, offering great local knowledge and recommendations. The breakfast is delicious and varied, and the lodge itself is spacious and tastefully furnished.

The lodge could benefit from some modern updates to enhance the overall experience.

Over the Xmas period, my partner and I stayed at a beachside B&B. The views from the property were breathtaking, and the room was spacious and clean. We were also welcomed with homemade cake and a warm cup of tea.

The owners didn't seem very interested in providing us with information about the surrounding area. We were hoping to explore the local attractions but had trouble deciding where to go.
